Color Change A photosensitive wood, Madeira Nova darkens to a rich red rose color with exposure to light. Color stabilizes approximately three months after installation. Janka Hardness 3,280 lbs. per square inch Finishes Prefinished — Product features a specially formulated UV cured aluminum oxide finish that allows the wood's natural beauty to shine through and may be sanded and refinished. Unfinished — Madeira Nova accepts oil or water based finishing
products. UV inhibitors will slow darkening process. Thoroughly test all
